NEW DELHI: The condition of 84-year-old Pranab Mukherjee has declined with the former president developing a lung infection.
A health bulletin issued by the Army Research and Referral Hospital, where he has been admitted since August 10, said on Wednesday.
“There has been a decline in the medical condition of Pranab Mukherjee as he has developed features of lung infection. He continues to be on ventilatory support and is currently being managed by a team of specialists.“
Mukherjee has been on a ventilator ever since his major surgery for a large brain clot.
