POONCH: Mahila Shakti Kendra Poonch today organized a programme on the theme “Keep soil alive; protect soil biodiversity” to mark the celebration of “World Soil Day“.
Speaking at the programme, District Women officer Priya Sharma drew the attention of the audience towards the importance of healthy soil and sustainable management of soil resources.
District coordinators Tirath Kour and Noreen Akhter stressed on proper soil treatment and minimizing its erosion for attaining prolonged food security.
Finally, the team of Mahila Shakti Kendra took a pledge acknowledging the importance of soil for the sustenance of life and promised to take care of soil to the best of their abilities in the future.
