Withdraw security cover of Syed Ali Shah Geelani immediately: Shiv Sena

JAMMU: Shiv Sena Bala Sahib Thackeray, J&K unit on Sunday expressed resentment against the State Government for not withdrawing the security and others benefits given to separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Yasim Mailk.

Pertinent to mention here that the Jammu and Kashmir Government issued orders to withdraw security of five separatist leaders namely Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Abdul Gani Bhat, Bilal Lone, Hashim Qureshi, and Shabir Shah. However, there is no mention of pro-Pakistan separatist Syed Ali Shah Geelani in the order.

Briefing media persons here, Dimpy Kohli, State President Shiv Sena along with Manish Sahni  lambasted the State government for not withdrawing the security of Geelani & Mailk as he is openly claimed that he is not an Indian citizen hence the State Government should withdraw his passport and no travel document should be issued to him at any cost.

Shiv Sena demanded that the government should withdraw the security of Geelani & Malik immediately so that a straight message will be gone to the people of Kashmir Valley that no anti-national element should be spared at any cost. The government should also book the elements who are raising pro-Pakistan slogans in the State, he sought.

“The Central Government should withdraw all the funding and security of Hurriyat so that he roams into the streets of Srinagar like ordinary people,” Kohli said, adding that the government should also immediately stop talking to Hurriyat. He emphasized that all security and vehicles provided to the Geelani & Malik should be withdrawn immediately.

“No security forces or cover should be provided, under any pretext, to him or any anti-national elements in the Kashmir Valley. If they have any other facilities provided by the government to Geelani, it should also be withdrawn immediately,” Kohli said. 

“No medical facilities should be provided to these separatist leaders or their family members by the government,” he said. Shiv Sena demanded that Government of India should give a befitting reply to Pakistan to take avenge of the CRPF soldiers martyred in the Pulwama terror attack.
