Srinagar: Strongly condemning the “custodial killing” of a Pulwama youth, National Conference has decided to hit the streets and demand time bound enquiry into the incident.

The party is planning to protest and seek punishment for the accused. Senior National Conference leader Ab.Majeed Larmi said that such incidents can’t be tolerated and added that even Party Chief Omar Abdullah has also sought a time bound probe into the killing.

Larmi said that the party would come to streets in South Kashmir to demand immediate action against the accused.

He however, accused PDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for bringing NIA to the state and said she has unleashed atrocities in Valley during her tenure and “today’s incident” was the result of her “wrong policies”.

According to Larmi, Mehbooba will now shed “Crocodile tears” and would be out for “theatrics.”

Larmi further said that belonging to Jammat e Islami was not a crime and killing of the youth in custody should be probed in a time bound manner.
