Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra reaches six Panchayats of District Samba

SAMBA: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), a nationwide campaign to empower and enlighten the rural masses, visited six Panchayats of District Samba today.

 The Yatra was welcomed by the enthusiastic locals, who participated in different activities and programs conducted by the government officials and nodal officers. The Yatra also showcased the achievements and benefits of the government schemes and initiatives, and inspired the people to join the vision of Viksit Bharat.

The IEC Van for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra covered a total of six Panchayats of three blocks of the district, including Panchayats Deon and Purmandal of Block Purmandal, Panchayats Trindi and Khanpur of Block Ramgarh, and Panchayats Sodam and Kard of Block Sumb.

IEC van disseminated the information about various flagship government schemes, such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, and others. Besides, a Session on agricultural activities, such as soil health card, organic farming, micro-irrigation, and crop diversification was also held. Free medical camps and check-ups, where people received health advice, medicines, and COVID-19 vaccination were conducted during the event.

Further the Distribution of Golden Cards and KCC cards to beneficiaries, who can avail the benefits of Ayushman Bharat and Kisan Credit Card schemes was done. The important aspect of the event was the Sankalp pledge, where people vowed to work for the development and progress of the nation and their villages.

Under the Meri Kahani Meri Zubani initiative, the successful beneficiaries shared their stories and experiences of transformation by availing the government schemes and initiatives.

Cultural performances on Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke and Swachata songs were presented by local artists and school children.

The Yatra received a positive response from the people, who expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the government’s efforts and initiatives. They also pledged to spread the message of Viksit Bharat to their fellow villagers and contribute to the nation-building process.
