Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra commences in Ramban District

RAMBAN: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide initiative aimed at empowering citizens, besides sensitizing them about the transformative flagship schemes of the Government, commenced today in rural areas of Ramban district under the aegis of Deputy Commissioner, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary.

On the first day, the campaign was held at eight prominent Panchayats including Kaskoot, Takia Tethar, Gund Tethar, Tethar Lower, Lamber, Nowgam, Chareel and Krawah in the block Banihal.

The inauguration of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra included a diverse range of activities including holding special camps where people could avail different services and benefits, health screening for the citizens, interactions with progressive farmers who shared their best practices and innovations, and the heartwarming recognition of women achievers and local sportspersons who have made the district proud.

The PRIs, prominent citizens, beneficiaries, and key officers and officials, including SDM, Banihal, Zaheer Abbas Bhat, Tehsildar  Imtiaz Ahmed, BDO Asif Ameen also engaged with the locals  and briefed them about the development and welfare schemes. They also urged the people to participate actively in VBSY and avail the benefits of the schemes.

  “The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a unique opportunity to connect with the rural masses and make them aware of the different schemes and benefits that the Union Government has launched for their welfare,” said the officers. 

A pledge’ ‘Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat ” was administered to Participants. Meanwhile, cultural programmes and thought-provoking video documentaries were showcased, powerfully illustrating the remarkable progress achieved through different flagship schemes.  The line departments also set up their stalls to provide on-the- spot services and information to the people. 

One of the highlights of the event was ‘Meri Kahani, Meri Zubani’ initiative, wherein the beneficiaries of different departments, such as Health, Education, Agriculture and allied sectors, Social Welfare, and Rural Development, enthusiastically narrated their stories of positive transformation in their lives.
