VBSY successfully ends in all 296 panchayats, begins in urban areas of Budgam: Zubair Ahmad

BUDGAM: Following successful conclusion of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) in all 296 Panchayats of Budgam, the campaign began today in urban areas of the district.

The inaugural event was presided over by Commissioner Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Zubair Ahmad at Town Hall Chadoora today.

With locals overwhelmingly participating in the activities, the VBSY function witnessed impressive gathering from all local wards and panchayats of Town Chadoora.

The Commissioner Secretary listened to the general public, local PRIs and senior citizens, who raised their issues and demands for redressal. He directed the concerned officers to ensure prompt service delivery and early disposal of public grievances.

Commissioner Secretary also inspected various stalls, installed by different departments to showcase their products and raise awareness generation regarding different schemes and public welfare initiatives.

While interacting with the concerned officers and officials at these stalls, Zubair Ahmad emphasised massive awareness generation and reach to every unreached individual achieving 100% saturation of eligible beneficiaries under all schemes.

On the occasion, a demonstration on all online government services through power point presentation was also made.

Zubair Ahmad urged upon the general public, particularly youth to take maximum benefits of online services and register themselves under different self employment schemes and harness their benefits.

During the nationwide outreach initiative aimed at informing and empowering citizens about the Centre’s flagship schemes, a series of activities including Sankalp pledge ceremonies, awareness by concerned officials on their departmental schemes and variety of cultural events were conducted.

The VBSY Van screened Prime Minister’s message and other movies to generate awareness on Central Government’s initiatives for public welfare. The school students also took part in skits, cultural events, on spot quiz competition, singing of Swacchta songs and other related programmes on the occasion. Some achievers were also felicitated for their exemplary work in different fields during the programme.

ADDC Budgam, ACD Budgam and other district officers were also present on the occasion.
