Vaccination drive for 18-44 years age group begins at Doda

CMO urges people, high risk groups to take vaccination at nearest vaccination sites

DODA: The District Administration Doda today kick started a vaccination drive for persons of 18-44 year age group.

The process commenced smoothly at all the 06 special vaccination sites established across the district to vaccinate the age appropriate persons. The centers were established at accessible destinations so that the people could easily approach these centers and get vaccinated.

Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer Doda, Dr Yaqoob Mir today inspected a vaccination site namely Boys Hr Sec School Doda and took stock of the vaccination process. He urged the eligible persons, especially vulnerable groups to get vaccinated at an earliest.

He added that more than 71 percent of the population above the age of 45 years has already been vaccinated and the process of vaccinating the rest persons of this age group is going on at war footing.

It was revealed by the CMO that many high risk persons which include shopkeepers, media persons, barbers, lawyers etc also actively participated in the vaccination drive today.

He also stated that adherence to SOPs is very vital at this juncture and advised the people to follow the same to stop spread of this virus.
