BANDIPORA: A woman was injured during clashes in Lankreshipora area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday amid polling for Bandipora municipal committee.
An official said that a woman, identified as Shabeena wife of Javid Ahmad Dar, was hit by pellets after clashes erupted in the area between youth and government forces.
She was shifted to district hospital Bandipora where from she was referred to Srinagar for further treatment.
Meanwhile, clashes also erupted in Plan area of Bandipora between youth and the government forces.
Scores of youth pelted forces with stones who responded by firing several tear smoke shells.
