PULWAMA: Two militants were killed in an ongoing gunfight with the government forces in Hanjin Payeen area of Rajpora village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
A police official said that the gunfight broke out after the forces launched a search operation in Hajin Payeen following a tip-off about the presence of militants.
He said army’s 44RR, 182 and 183 BN CRPF and SOG Pulwama jointly launched the operation.
Quoting sources, news agency GNS reported that two militants of Jaish-e-Muhammad were killed in the gunfight.
Their identity was not immediately known.
