BARAMULLA: The government has failed to bring any relief in education department, as their promises of providing basic facilities have been proved false again, there are scores of clubbed schools in Kashmir but hardly with any such modern facility and one among them is Middle school Chanpora Kanloo Pattan of Baramulla.

Few years back two institutions including of Primary and Middle school in Chanpora Kanloo Pattan area of Baramulla district is suffering of basic facilities, as the school has only two rooms accommodate the students, said sources.

Sources said that, the respectable citizens of the area have many times approached concerned authorities for their help, and recently a team of villagers met some political leaders and acknowledged him, about the problem of the school, but he turned a deaf ear into it, while as he also failed to help due to Model Code of Conduct (MCC) that was in force till May 23.

“From past two months locals have been waiting that the political leader has promised of all sort of help, but all went in vain, as he was just luring us for votes and nothing else, if our children could get benefit of the education or its related system, then what is the fun of our government,” said sources.

There is an accommodation crunch, even though the teachers of the schools have left no stone unturned, but they are also having no option except to accommodate the students in just two to three rooms, and with the result students failed to learn or understand anything in the crowded atmosphere.

Parents acknowledged that, the school administration had sent requisition and other countless request to the department concerned to provide basic facilities and infrastructure, but the department is least bothered about the education of students.

The parents said that, there are other schools in the Pattan thesil, and all schools have some acceptable facilities and theirs village Chanpora Kanloo Pattan is only a place that lacks of infrastructure including furniture, libraries, laboratory facilities.

In this age of modern technology, everyone and especially students should be equipped with hi- tech gadgets, and if not so at least there should be some basic facilities, so that they can concentrate on their studies.

There are dozens of government schools in Kashmir valley and especially in north Kashmir that are lacking basic facilities, and government should ponder over these problems, and unfortunately they want concrete results of the students but without providing any sufficient facilities.

If the basic facilities were not provided to the concerned school, the result would be adverse like there will be low enrollment of students, hence we request the governor administration and other higher authorities to provide basic facilities to this school at the earliest.
