SRINAGAR: A paramilitary trooper was injured after militants attacked a CRPF party in Lasjan on the outskirts of Srinagar on Saturday afternoon.
Quoting official sources, GNS news agency reported that a group of militants opened indiscriminate fire upon the CRPF 29 battalion at Lasjan near Pantha Chowk.
In the incident, a trooper is said to have received injuries and has been hospitalized, they said.
A police officer when contacted confirmed the attack and said that the CRPF men retaliated the fire.
The entire area has been cordoned off to nab the assailants.
