5-day training prog for CUK admn staff concludes

GANDERBAL: The five-day online workshop cum training programme organised by the Central University of Kashmir’s, Centre for Capacity Development of Administrative Staff (CCDAS) for the administrative staff of the university concluded at Green Campus here Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, University of Kashmir, Director Admission, Prof. Farooq Ahmad, who was the Guest of Honour, said that holding of such capacity development programmes were imperative for the continuous up gradation of skills and technical knowledge and knowhow of the employees, which would subsequently benefit the institution. He described the administrative staff as the backbone of the university and asked them to work with zeal and zest and ensure transparency.

Addressing the gathering, Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, said that learning is a continuous process and holding of such programmes are meant to further improve the working of the employees. He said the administration was already aware of the issues confronted by the employees and is doing every bit to resolve them. Prof. Zargar said that more such programmes would be organised in near future for the holistic and overall development of the employees.

Speaking on the occasion, Finance Officer, Prof. Fayaz A Nikka, said the institutions across the world are made by the quality human resource and their output. “Hence it becomes important to hone the skills of the employees through such programmes so that they would contribute immensely towards the growth and development of the institution,” he said.

During the 5-day programme, the experts in different fields delivered lectures on CRR Rules governing employment, deputation, re-employment etc, reservation policy (by Gunjan Gandhi), NPS rules, withdrawals and applicability as per revised rules as of March 2021 (by Nafe Singh Saini), National Educational Policy 2020-online education and examination, scholarships, reservation in admission (by Ram Prakash Sejwal), mental health and well being, identify symptoms and causes of stress, explore mechanisms of coping with stress, prepare an action plan to manage stress (by Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Margoob), and office procedures/businesses, e office, e-file tracking system, office management, noting and drafting, record keeping/ file management, time management, government e-market place (GeM) and GST (by Kanhaiya Chaudhary).

Hindi Adhikari and Officer I/c CCDAS, Dr. Sakina Akhter, conducted the valediction proceedings and also proposed the vote of thanks. Later, certificates were distributed among the participants.
