Traders to shut businesses in Lal Chowk after 3 pm to protest attacks on Kashmiris

SRINAGAR: Traders’ bodies in Kashmir have decided to shut their businesses in commercial hub of Lal Chowk and adjoining markets after 3 pm on Saturday to protests attacks on Kashmiris in Jammu and outside.

The representatives of various trade bodies said that they will shut their businesses and take out a protest march after 3 pm to protest the attacks.

Meanwhile, curfew continued to remain in place in Jammu where dozens of vehicles belonging to Kashmiris were torch by a mob yesterday.

Reports said that the accommodations of several Kashmiris were pelted with stones in Janipur locality of Jammu today despite curfew being in place.

Kashmiri students in Dehradun have said they were forced to vacate their rented accommodations amid tension over Pulwama bombing that left 49 CRPF troopers on Thursday.
