Tide over power crisis to provide respite to people in scorching heat: Th Yashu Vardhan

RAJOURI: Th Yashu Vardhan Singh, Additional Spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (Jammu Province) has raised serious concern over the unprecedented shortage of power supply across the Jammu and Kashmir in general and Kalakote constituency in particular.

In a statement issued to media here today, the NC leader castigated the state Administration for the hopeless and chaotic situation due to power crisis. He said that it is really an irony that administration has lying in deep slumber with the people suffering miserably due to absence of power supply and the consequent water supply having been badly hampered badly. He said that Jammu and Kashmir is a secular state comprising a bunch of people belonging to all religions residing here. He said that the J&K Administration was fully aware of the fact that the Holy days of Ramzan are going on and it is sheer negligence on its part as it failed to put in place a system to address any eventuality during the holy days. 

Th Yashu Vardhan said that power and water are the basic amenities required to sustain life and therefore basic right of every citizen of India and the Govt is duty bound to ensure that these are available to the people 24X7. He said that the worst part is that the members of the Muslim community are facing great inconvenience in absence of water and power during Sehri time in the early morning as well as during Iftiyari hours. 

The NC leader held BJP Government at the Centre has responsible for the power crisis in the Jammu and Kashmir. He appealed to the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to come to rescue to people by ensuring and tackling the power crisis immediately so that they heave a sigh of relief in this scorching heat.
