Thousands attend funeral of slain militant Naseer Pandit in Pulwama

PULWAMA: Thousands of people on Thursday attended the funeral of slain Jaish-e-Mohammad militant Naseer Pandit in south Kashmir’s Karimabad area of Pulwama district.

Eyewitnesses said that men women and children raising pro-freedom and pro-Islam slogans participated in the last rites of slain militant.

Men and women from nearby villages visited Karimabad to have a last glimpse of militant.

Earlier in the day three militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad, soldier and a civilian were killed and three persons including two armymen were injured in an encounter with militants in Dalipora area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir on Thursday.

The slain militants as Naseer Pandith of Karimabad Pulwama, Umar Mir of Bethipora Shopian and Khalid Bhai from Pakistan. The slain trio was affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammad militant outfit
