TRAL: Thousands of people on Tuesday assembled in Tral region of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district to take part in the last rites of a militant killed in a gunfight with the government forces.
Thousands had gathered in Rathsuna village to take part in the last rites of Shakir Hassan Dar.
The mourners raised pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and pro-Islam slogans during the funeral procession.
Dar, who was affiliated with Zakir Musa-led Ansar Ghazwat ul Hind outfit was killed in a gunfight with the forces in Reshipora area.
As per routine, authorities suspended the Internet service in the area soon after the gunfight broke out today morning.
