POONCH: District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav today visited Mankote and met with the family members of deceased person who lost his precious life during cross border shelling last night in village Mankote.
The DDC was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Ramesh Angral, SDM Mendhar, Sahil Jandiyal, SDPO Mendhar Neeraj Sharma and other officials.
During the visit, the DDC provided Rs. 1 lakh ex gratia relief and Rs. 10,000 under Red Cross to the next of kin of 18 years old Mohd. Gulfraz of village Mankote who lost his life due to cross border firing.
The DDC also gave Rs. 5,000 to the injured person under Red Cross fund namely Zaffar Iqbal of village Mankote.
