PULWAMA: A SVEEP awareness programme was today organized by the District Election Office at Community Centre Aripal Tral, here.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, ERO Tral, Shabir Ahmad Raina was the chief guest on the occasion.
ERO in his address urged the participants to disseminate the information regarding SVEEP to others. He also stressed all participants to participate in the SVEEP process.
During the awareness program, He enlightened the participants about the role of SVEEP in the district to sensitize the general masses about the voting process and the importance of voting.
Meanwhile, a general awareness on the importance of voting in a democratic system was given by Master Trainers.
Chief Education Officer, Pulwama, Nodal Officer (SVEEP), Principal Higher Secondary School Satoora and Lurgam, young prospective voters/students of Government Higher Secondary Schools (HSSs) were the main participants, besides Sarpanchs, Panchs, BLOs and other concerned people attended the awareness programme.
Later, ERO distributed EPIC to the new voters.
