KUPWARA: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Karnah Dr. Bilal Mohiudin Bhat escaped unhurt after a snow avalanche hit their vehicle at Sadhna top this afternoon while on way to Kupwara.
Officials told News Agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that SDM Karnah was travelling from Karnah to Kupwara when hit vehicle was hit by a medium level avalanche at Sadhna top.
The diver of the vehicle has suffered minor injured, while the SDM and his security guard were rescued safely under the snow, the official said.
He also said that the diver has suffered minor injured and was given first aid at local army unit who initially led the rescue operation to retrieve them.
