SRINAGAR: Six youth were injured in clashes with the security forces in Nowhatta area of Downtown Srinagar on Friday.
Reports said that youth pelted the forces with stones outside the historic Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta soon after congregational weekly prayers.
They said the police and paramilitary forces deployed in the area retaliating by firing tear gas and pellets.
Reports said that six youth were hit by pellets.
