SOPORE: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) chairman Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chief Yasin Malik on Wednesday joined thousands of mourners gathered in Sopore for the last rites of the son-in-law of Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani.
Geelani’s eldest son-in-law, Ghulam Hassan Makhdhoomi passed away at a hospital in Srinagar yesterday after remaining admitted there for a week.
Reports said that a large number of people braving rains reached Dooru village of Sopore today morning to take part in his last rites.
The funeral prayers of the deceased held in the premises of a local school were led by his father.
