CSC, VLEs, Sarpanches visiting door-to-door to motivate people

RAMBAN: District Administration Ramban has mobilized Village Level Entrepreneur teams in each Panchayat to conduct door-to-door registration under PMJAY/ SEHAT scheme in the district.   

According to the District Manager CSC, 1.38 Lakh beneficiaries have registered for SEHAT scheme till date against the total target of 2.88 lakh.

 Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam, while highlighting the benefits of the Flagship Health Insurance programme, said that SEHAT scheme aims to provide Universal Health Insurance Coverage of Rs. 5.00 lakh to all residents of J&K UT. He urged the general public to contact nearest VLEs for registration along with their Aadhaar & Ration Cards. He added that after registration, their Golden Cards will be generated and issued which shall provide the people cashless healthcare facilities in a hassle-free manner in empanelled health   institutions.

The Deputy Commissioner advised the CMO and BMOs to scale up IEC activities to generate awareness amongst people about SEHAT registration and also asked them to install hoardings for larger public information.

The DC exhorted CSCs & VLEs, BLOs, ASHAs and Angwanwari workers to redouble their efforts to achieve 100 percent coverage under the scheme in the shortest possible time. He also urged the PRIs, especially the Sarpanches of all Panchayats of District Ramban, to launch mega awareness drives and motivate the people to register for the availing the scheme.
