KUPWARA: Secretary/ Executive Officer, J&K Buildings and Other Construction Welfare Board, Muneer-ul-Islam today visited Kupwara and reviewed the problems being faced by labour class of the district. He had a meeting with officers of the Labour department.
Muneer-ul-Islam interacted with various trade union leaders based in Kupwara district. The trade leaders projected their issues before him.
On the occasion, the Secretary asked the labourers to take benefit under various welfare schemes of the Government envisaged for the socio-economic development of the construction workers.
He distributed cheques worth Rs.9.32 lakh among six beneficiaries under different welfare schemes including Death Assistance and Chronic Disease Assistance.
