Scientist from Kupwara to work on 5G with Intel, Infineon

Srinagar: Dr. Mudasir Bashir, a resident of Bumhama (Mir Mohalla) Kupwara J&K has recently joined as a “scientist” at Silicon Austria Labs where he will be working on 5G based communication circuits in collaboration with Intel Austria and Infineon.

Before getting this position, he was working as post doc senior researcher at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences Austria.

He completed his PhD in the field of Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design from the Department of ECE, NIT Warangal in 2018. He is the youngest and quickest to finish Ph.D. in this domain at NIT Warangal. He has also worked on several projects sponsored by government organizations like DRDO, ISRO etc.

He was the member of the team which built first chip at IISc Bangalore under Make in India Program. Dr. Mudasir has published his work in many international journals/conferences. Prior to his Ph.D., he did his master’s from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra Jammu in 2014.
