KULGAM: To ensure smooth conduct of upcoming Panchayat elections in the district, a daylong training for Returning Officers (ROs), Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) was today held here under the supervision of District Election Officer, Kulgam.
During the training program, all ROs and AROs were imparted training about their role and responsibilities during the polls.
They were also sensitized about Model Code of Conduct, Nomination Process, Scrutiny of Nomination Forms, Withdrawal of Candidature and other allied procedures for the smooth conduct of the elections.
