SRINAGAR: Commenting over the rival parties claims to form a government and the subsequent dissolution of Jammu and Kashmir assembly, Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Thursday said that ‘real democracy can never flourish under forced control.’

Mirwaiz said the “murky tamasha” (drama) of Indian democracy and its local (Kashmiri) and Indian players’ were “exposed” in Jammu and Kashmir while people watched the happenings with “disgust and dismay.”

“The murky tamasha of Indian Democracy & its local and Indian players gets more and more exposed in J&K, while people watch with disgust and dismay! No real democracy can ever flourish under forced control, it can only be manipulations &lies as we are witnessing for the past 70 years!” Mirwaiz wrote on Twitter.

A high voltage political drama was witnessed in the state since yesterday morning after reports started doing the rounds that NC, PDP and Congress have joined hands to form the next government in the state, currently under governor’s rule.

However, soon after Mehbooba Mufti staked a claim for the government formation the state governor Satya Pal Malik dissolved the assembly.
