KISHTWAR: District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh Tara today inaugurated the third disinfection tunnel at Thatri to ensure proper sanitization of each and every person entering Kishtwar.
He was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner Mohammad Hanief Malik, Tehsildar Drabshalla, Shohab Latief, President Municipal Council Kishtwar Riyaz Ahmed Zargar, EO MC Tariq Ahmed Balwan, DSP Mohammad Ashrif Lissery others councillors and officials.
While speaking on the occasion, DDC said that Thatri check point is the main entrance point and installation of disinfection tunnel here will assure that people of Kishtwar are protected from the infection of COVID-19.
He directed the Tehsildar Drabshalla to ensure that each and every passenger must pass through this disinfection tunnel and get sanitized.
During the visit, DDC also verified visitors register maintained at entry point and other screening measures taken by the doctors deputed there for combating corona pandemic. He directed the doctors to ensure stringent screening of the inbound visitors to prevent any eventuality.
