Pulwama boy wounded in accidental grenade blast last week succumbs

PULWAMA: A minor boy wounded in an accidental grenade blast in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district last week succumbed at a hospital in Srinagar on Wednesday, reports said.

Junaid Bilal (13) and his friend, Sharafat Bashir, also 13, were wounded after a grenade they were toying with in Rohama village of the district exploded last Friday.

The duo was shifted to PHC Rohama from where they were shifted to district hospital Pulwama and later Bilal was referred to SKIMS Soura for specialised treatment.

Quoting the family sources, news agency GNS reported that Bilal succumbed at the facility.
