KULGAM: The Pollution Control Committee Kulgam today organized a public hearing on extraction of Minor Mineral (River Bed Mineral) for Block No-21 at Government Girls Higher School Pahaloo, here.
ADC Kulgam Showkat Ahmad Rather presided over the event.
A large gathering of locals participated in the event and highlighted their demands and the officers assured them that their grievances will be redressed.
People were assured that mining activity shall be carried out as per norms laid down by the authorities and also as per the approved mining plan.
Among others, District Mineral Officer, Naseer Ahmad and Divisional Officer Pollution Control Committee, Khurshid Ahmad Ganai besides other officers were present in the meeting.
