PULWAMA: Scores of people on Friday held protests in main town Pulwama followed by clashes between youth and forces.
Soon after the culmination of Friday prayers here at Markazi Jamia Masjid Pulwama. People held protests against the recent civilian killings in Sirnoo Pulwama while as youth also pelted forces with stones.
Meanwhile, on the seventh straight day Pulwama and its adjoining areas shut.
All shops, bussiness establishments remained shut while traffic was off from the roads.
Internet service also remained suspended for the seventh consecutive day in the district.
On Saturday, seven civilians were killed in Sirnoo area of Pulwama after the government forces opened fire on protesters following a gunfight that left three militants and a soldier dead.
