KERNAL: Members of 67 farmers’ organisations that met under the banner of Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) at the Singhu border today announced nationwide protests on July 8 against the rise in fuel prices.
The protests will be held between 10 am and 12 noon “without obstructing traffic”.
In a joint statement, farm leaders Balbir Singh Rajewal, Dr Darshan Pal, Gurnam Singh Charuni, Hannan Mollah, Jagjit Singh Dallewal, Joginder Singh Ugrahan, Shivkumar Sharma “Kakkaji”, Yudhvir Singh and Yogendra Yadav said the Morcha had taken several decisions to step up their struggle against the three farm laws. They claimed there was a plot to defame the movement.
