NEW DELHI: Daughters of two Army officers have moved the Supreme Court seeking protection for defence forces personnel from stone pelters in Jammu and Kashmir while they are performing their duties.

As per report of Times Now, the two children approached the top court seeking notices to the Central as well as Jammu and Kashmir governments for ensuring security of armed forces personnel deployed for duty in the state.

In response to the plea filed by 19-year-old Preeti Kedar Gokhale and 20-year-old Kajal Mishra, the Supreme Court agreed to hear the matter and issued notices to the Centre as well as Jammu and Kashmir government. The state is currently under President’s rule, with Governor Satya Pal Malik at the helm.
