Baramulla: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, police have arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
Officers led by SHO Police Station Baramulla Police alongwith In-charge PP Delina during daily routine checking arrested 02 drug peddlers identified as Imran Zameer Khan son of Zameer Ahmad Khan resident of Trikanjan Boniyar and Yasin Ahmad Ganie son of Ab Rehman resident of Delina Ghat at Juhama Baramulla and recovered 10 grams of Brown Sugar from his possession. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigation set in motion.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
