PMAY (Gramin): DC B’pora chairs Appellate Committee meeting

BANDIPORA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad today chaired a meeting of District Level Appellate Committee members of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojna(PMAY) Gramin.

The meeting held threadbare discussions on 53 grievances received under PMAY (Gramin) and issues of landless beneficiaries put forward before the appellate committee.

Dr. Owais passed on spot direction to remove bottlenecks and to redress various grievances related to PMAY (G) cases.

The DC asked the concerned to check and verify all the cases properly for sanctioning strictly as under PMAY (G) guidelines.

He directed to exclude all beneficiaries who have availed any sort of housing assistance earlier.

A committee under the chairmanship of Tehsildar was constituted to verify and consolidate the data of eligible landless beneficiaries.

The DC also directed to frame a separate list of left out eligible beneficiaries to be taken up in the next phase.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Bandipora Ali Afsar Khan, ACD Bandipora Ab Rashid Das, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Syed Altaf Hussain Mosavi, BDOs and other concerned officers.
