SRINAGAR: Prof. Nazeer Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor today visited Faculty of Forestry Benihama, Ganderbal on the concluding ceremony of the plantation drive initiated by the Faculty to green the campus where 8000 plants have been planted.
While going round the Faculty, Vice-Chancellor appreciated the efforts being put by scientific staff in planting different types of forestry species for experimental purposes and for demonstration of Model plantations in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lavender etc. Vice-Chancellor on the occasion also planted Chinar and Deodar Plants at the Faculty.
He also visited construction site of Girls Hostel where Engineering staff briefed him about the developmental activities going on in the campus.
Vice-Chancellor exuded satisfaction over the working of the Scientists under the able leadership of Prof. T.H. Masoodi, Dean of the Faculty.
