Indo-Pak armies exchange gunfire along LoC in Uri

BARAMULLA: The armies of India and Pakistan on Monday exchanged gunfire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Tulwari, Churanda Silkote village in Uri sector in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Pakistani troopers on Monday resorted to heavy shelling on Indian Army posts, which was retaliated effectively.

Locals said that panic gripped in the area when the heavy shelling from both the sides took place.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla told KNO that shelling was going on from both sides and no loss of life or injury was reported during the ceasefire violation.
