Pakistan President Arif Alvi dissolves National Assembly

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan President Dr. Arif Alvi on Sunday dissolved the National Assembly on the proposal of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Pakistan Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Shahbaz Gul has confirmed the dissolution of the assemblies.

Minister of State for Information Farrukh Habib has said that the Assembly has been dissolved and now elections will be held in next 90 days.

Imran Khan also asked the people in a short address to the Pakistan nation prepare for the elections.

Earlier, the Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri rejected the no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister as unconstitutional.

In a short address to the nation after the no-confidence motion was rejected, Imran Khan congratulated all and said that he had sent a proposal to the President to dissolve the National Assembly and the nation should prepare for the next elections.
