Govt Polytechnic Jmu organises online orientation session on JEET scheme

JAMMU: Government Polytechnic College Jammu in association with ICT Academy, Chennai organized an online orientation session for students on Jammu & Kashmir Employability training (JEET) sponsored by AICTE.

The webinar was attended by the staff and a large number of students of various Polytechnics of J&K.

Principal of the college, Er Arun Bangotra welcomed all the participants and informed them about initiative of the Government of India, AICTE in collaboration with ICT Academy Chennai and the State/UT Governments and Industries to enhance the skill of the polytechnic students as per requirements of the industry to generate employment for the youth.

Head Government and Corporate initiatives, ICT Academy, B.Raghava Srinivasan, informed that ICT Academy is a not-for-profit society, and a joint venture under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model to provide the training to students on latest technologies.

G. Saravan, Head strategic alliances and   Lovetesh Kumar, project manager, delivered the lectures on the various courses available for students online that can increase their employability in various sector.

During the session, the students get to know about various courses sponsored by the Government of India free of cost for Jammu Kashmir students such as cloud architecture & infrastructure services, cyber security infrastructure configuration, machine learning and artificial intelligence, data sciences and big data analysis, digital marketing, AutoCAD, business administration specialist, product design, engineering using fusion 360 and many more.

All the courses are designed as per the curriculum of industry and ICT Academy will train 5000 students free of cost as these courses are completely sponsored by AICTE. These courses will give knowledge to students on particular technology and skills for targeted job.
