SRINAGAR: Nine youth with pellet shotgun injuries to their eye(s) have been brought to SMHS hospital in Srinagar from southern Anantnag district on Saturday.
Hospital authorities said that on Eid-ul-Fitr day, till 1 pm, nine people were admitted for specialized treatment for eye injuries caused by pellet shotguns.
All the injured were given preliminary treatment and extent of damage to their eyes could not be ascertained immediately, doctors at the hospitals said.
The injured were brought from Anantnag, where massive clashes erupted after Eid prayers.
