NIA arrests two Youth in Pulwama

Srinagar: Two youth of of Pulwama district were arrested by National Investigation Agency(NIA) in ‘Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) conspiracy case’ and allegedly involved in ‘waging a war’ against the Government of India and ‘setting up bases in Delhi and other parts of India.’

They have been identified as Tanveer Ahmad Ganie (29) of Mandoora and Ahmad Mir (23) of Gadapora and have been sent to Kot Balwal jail in Jammu.

Earlier, the duo were at Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu facing the Public Safety Act (PSA) before NIA arrested them.

As per tge reports, the NIA court has sent them into seven days’ custody while during the investigation, it was found that one of the accused arrested earlier, Sajjad Ahmad Khan, had been in contact with these two youth on WhatsApp during the relevant period.

Pertinently, Mr. Khan was arrested on 21 March by the Special Cell, Delhi Police, and was later handed over to the NIA in the charges of ‘waging a war’ against New Delhi and for hatching a criminal conspiracy by the top leadership of JeM  to strengthen the base of the outfit in India by recruiting persons for carrying out attacks.
