Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan: DC Rajouri chairs meeting to Finalize Arrangements Rally

RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting to finalize the arrangements for a mega awareness rally being organized under the “Nasha Mukt Bharat” campaign tomorrow.

 The rally will start from Government Degree College and culminate at PWD Dakbunglow. The primary objective of the rally is to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and inspire people to work towards a drug-free society.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal emphasized the importance of creating a mass movement against drug abuse. He said that the objective of the rally is to make the people aware of the hazards of drug abuse.

Calling for putting sincere efforts, he said that this problem can be tackled only by joint efforts of all stakeholders including the civil society.  

The “Nasha Mukt Bharat” campaign is a nationwide campaign that was launched by the Government of India to address the issue of drug abuse in the country. 

The officers were also stressed upon to ensure that the rally is conducted smoothly and the primary objective of creating awareness among the public about drug abuse is achieved. The meeting decided to rope in people from all walks of life including the religious leaders in the mega awareness rally to sensitise the targeted group about the ill effects of drug abuse.

The District Administration Rajouri is putting in dedicated efforts to eliminate the menace of drug abuse from society by taking all desirable measures. The organisation of this awareness rally is just one step in this direction. In addition to this, the District Administration is also planning to organize many more programs such as conferences, tabletalks, and other events to educate the masses about the dangers of drug abuse.
