RAMBAN: Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Ramban today seized vehicles for violation of violation of Covid appropriate behaviour, Motor Vehicles Act, Traffic Rules.
A team under the supervision of Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), Shafqat Majeed seized three minibuses and an Auto on Batote-Ramban route for violation of various provisions of MV Act, Traffic Rules and District Disaster Management Act.
According to ARTO, under the special drive as many as 45 vehicles have been seized for various violations in last one month and Rs.2.50 lakh fine recovered from them, while notices have been issued to two drivers for the cancellation of their driving license.
Recently, under a special drive by the MVD, Speed Limiting Devices (SLDs) have been fitted in the commercial vehicles in the district and some vehicles were challaned for tampering SLDs.
