DODA: Municipal Council Doda conducted today anti-encroachment drive in and around Bus stand and other parts of market area of the town to ease the traffic congestion caused by the rehris, merchandise placed at footpaths as well as by the wrong parking of the vehicles including private as well as public transport.
The MC President along with EO and Police personnel carried out the drive and seized illegal rehris in and around bus stand, besides lifting all the load carriers from the bus stand. The MVD and traffic department recovered fine from the owners for parking their vehicles in no parking places.
It was given out by the officials that traffic congestion is one of the serious issues, which is causing great inconvenience to the locals, and thus these drives shall continue on regular basis till the issue is not resolved permanently.
