SHOPIAN: In its continued Market checking drive, a joint team of Food & Drug Administration, (FDA) Shopian and Legal Metrology Department, under the supervision of Assistant Controller, Metrology today intensified market checking and inspection to ensure availability of quality eatables to the people of the district.
During the inspection, the enforcement team checked drug shops, bakery shops, meat and chicken shops, restaurants and kiryana shops at Pinjoora, Molo, Trenz areas of Shopian today.
Meanwhile, during the recent enforcement in these areas, the team has realised a fine of Rs.7800 from the violators on the spot and the same was later remitted to the treasury.
