SHOPIAN: The Food Safety, Drug Control Organization and Legal Metrology Department, Shopian today conducted joint market checking across Imamsahab, Shopian to ensure quality of eatables to the people.
During the inspection, the enforcement team headed by Designated Officer, Assistant Commissioner Food Safety and Drug Control checked several drug shops, bakery shops, meat and chicken shops, restaurants and kiryana shops.
Meanwhile, during the recent market checking at Imamsahab, the enforcement team also issued 8 notices to the violators, besides realizing a fine of Rs.7200 from the erring traders and destroying expired confectionery worth Rs.1500 on the spot.
