UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Krittika Jyotsna today convened a meeting of officers of line departments here in the Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex to review the arrangements for Maha Shivratri and Shab -E -Meraj.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr Vinod Kumar; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Syed Khan and officers of other departments attended the meeting.
Threadbare discussions were held on various arrangements viz Traffic regulations, security & maintenance of law and order, drinking water, power supply, sanitation and deployment of fire tenders.
The Traffic Department was directed to ensure effective regulation, while the Police department was asked to ensure foolproof security arrangements around the temples.
The PHE and PDD would ensure adequate drinking water and uninterrupted power supply especially at Devika, Sudhmahadev and Khooneshwar Temple at Khoon. The CEO Municipality was asked to ensure sanitation drives in the town. CMO was asked to make necessary first aid arrangements at Devika, Sudhmahadev and Khooneshwar Temple at Khoon for avoiding any untoward incident besides The AD Fire & Emergency services, was directed to deploy fire tenders in these locations.
