ANANTNAG: A special Lok Adalat for amicable settlement of MACT cases was held today at District Court Complex Anantnag under the Chairmanship of Naseer Ahmad Dar, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Principal District & Sessions Judge) Anantnag.
For settlement of cases referred to the said Adalat, one bench was presided over by Naseer Ahmad and attended by Aadil Mushtaq (Special Mobile Magistrate Anantnag) as constituted member.
As many as 17 cases were taken up, out of which 07 cases including 01 Recovery Suit were settled on spot in presence of the concerned parties.
Moreover, an amount of Rs. 33, 45,000 was awarded in 06 MACT Cases and 01 Recovery Suit.
