Decision whether to allow Muharram processions likely

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will convene a high-level meeting to review arrangements for Muharram. Sources said that the decision whether to allow Muharram processions will also be taken in the meeting. 

Sources told reporters that LG Sinha will chair the high-level meeting tomorrow in Civil Secretariat Srinagar at around 11 am. 

They said that top officials of civil and police administration including Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Principal Secretaries of several department, ADGP Security J&K ADGP Kashmir and other officers will attend the meeting. 

“A decision whether to allow Muharram processions is also likely to be taken in the meeting,” they said. 
Meanwhile, sources said that the administration has also invited All J&K Shia Association president Imran Reza Ansari, Anjuman Sharie Shian president Aga Syed Hassan and Anjuman Sharie Shian Darul Mustafa president Aga Syed Haadi for the meeting.
