LG Manoj Sinha meets PM Modi, Union Railway minister in new Delhi

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and extended warm Vijayadashmi greetings.

During the meeting, Lieutenant Governor Sinha expressed his festive wishes, saying, “Met Prime Minister Narendra Modi today and wished him a blissful Vijayadashmi,”In a gesture symbolizing the cultural richness of Jammu and Kashmir, Sinha also presented a traditional offering known as ‘Kong Posh,’ comprising saffron flowers, to the Prime Minister on behalf of the people of the Union Territory.

In addition to his meeting with Prime Minister Modi, Lieutenant Governor held discussions with Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Railways, Communications, and Electronics & Information Technology.

“Their conversation encompassed a wide range of topics related to the information technology sector, with a particular focus on the implementation of Bharat Net Phase-III. This initiative aims to extend digital connectivity to remote and challenging terrains, ensuring that even the most isolated areas benefit from the advantages of digital communication and technology,” said the officials.

The meetings underscore the collaborative efforts to promote cultural exchange and digital connectivity in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and reaffirm the commitment to enhancing the region’s overall development and prosperity.
